Drawing on her experience of over 10 years at WorkSafe Victoria, Amanda has an exceptional ability to consider all elements in a program evaluation; pulling together quantitative and qualitative data, subject matter expertise, stakeholder feedback and community member/client input to provide a thorough assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the program under review.

Amanda’s recent experience includes:

  • undertook a feasibility analysis for a State Government Community Services department, to understand the risks associated with the model and its ability to achieve its outcomes
  • developing a business case for an insurance agent to increase their market share
  • building a performance monitoring framework for an insurer looking to enter a new market

During her time at WorkSafe, Amanda played an integral role in monitoring and managing scheme costs, designing and implementing performance measures for the scheme’s claims agents and advising senior management about the likely financial impact of proposed changes to both policy and legislation. Amanda understands injury schemes from an actuarial, operational and strategic perspective.

Amanda began her career at Tillinghast-Towers Perrin in both their Life and General Insurance divisions. She has experience in the Australian, US, UK and Swedish insurance markets.

Amanda completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree at Melbourne University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia. She is currently a member of the Actuaries Institute’s Data Analytics Working Group and Code of Conduct Review Taskforce.
